I did not hire V-Tech as my repair vendor, and here is why. I am on a tight budget. So I repaired about 3 of the ongoing problems with my refrigerator and was sure I would be able to figure out the 4th problem which was new. But it turns out the 4th was elusive, no repair manual or online video or otherwise could explain why MY freezer wouldn't freeze but my refrigerator would get cold. Plenty of other models, but not mine.
So I made an extensive list of repair companies, the manufacturer recommended repair people, and all that. And I happened to call V-tech first. Victor took my call and listened to all of the work I had done already, and over the phone he was able to give me very rough price estimates over the phone of best case and worst case scenario. Best case it saved me a few hundred dollars over buying a new one. Worst case I would be spending several times more to repair it than just to buy a new one. I am so grateful to Victor for this phone call, it saved me so much time and money. Victor knows his stuff!

I highly recommend Victor at V-tech LLC. He is honest, efficient, extremely responsive and patiently took the time to answer my many questions. Victor visited my home twice regarding my washing machine. At first he wasn't sure if my machine needed repair, and gave me some tips on how to get my machine to perform correctly (for example, loading it properly). He suggested I try these tips before I spent money on an unnecessary repair. I tried his tips, the machine continued to have issues, and he then came back out to make the repair. He is honest and fair, and his pricing is very reasonable. Don't let the Menlo Park address deter you from calling V-tech. I am in Marin County and he has other customers here as well. I must write in appreciation of Victor. What an honest, brilliant, genius! I had called for estimates on my dishwasher and built-in microwave, both of which had been out-of-service for several months. Among the numerous Yelp reviews for this company, there were only three involving microwaves so I was worried that they did not have much experience repairing them. I just knew I would end up having to buy a new microwave.
But Victor approached the microwave with the confidence of someone who could have built it. He quickly disassembled the front of it, used his cell phone and took some pictures, made one brief trip back to his car, and within minutes, to my utter amazement, he had my microwave working. Brilliant!
However, when he told me the cost of the microwave repair, I said that I could not afford to proceed with the repair of the dishwasher. But I asked Victor if he would wager of guess as to how much it would cost to repair it. He opened the door, pressed a button and voila! The dishwasher was working again! He explained that I had inadvertently locked it. He did not charge me for the dishwasher because he said he did not repair it. A dishonest person would have pretended he repaired it and given me a hefty bill. I thanked my lucky stars for Victor!
